SESAME NOODLES

SESAME NOODLES

Servings: 4 servings
Prep Time: 10-20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Passive Time: 0 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound noodles

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, plus a splash

  • 3 and 1/2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Chinese rice vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons Chinese sesame paste

  • 1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter

  • 3/4 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon finely grated ginger

  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic, to taste

  • 2 teaspoons chili-garlic paste, to taste

  • 1/4 cup crushed/chopped roasted peanuts, to taste

  • 1 bunch chopped cilantro, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Noodles:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add noodles and cook until al dente (if noodles come in a box, around 10 minutes).

  2. Drain, briefly rinse with cold water, and toss with a splash of sesame oil. 

Sauce:

  1. Combine the 2 tablespoons sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame paste, peanut butter, sugar, ginger, garlic, and chili-garlic paste.

  2. Whisk together until ingredients are evenly distributed.

SERVING

Combine the sauce and noodles in a large serving bowl. Add crushed peanuts and cilantro to the top of the noodles. Enjoy!
